ISO 9001 quality management system

ISO 9001 is the standard for quality management:

ISO 9001 provides the user with a tool in developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system. This standard specifies the requirements to secure and improve processes that are important for increasing customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is increased by meeting customer requirements, requirements of the organization itself, laws and regulations and by continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system. ISO 9001 can be used by internal and external parties (including certifying bodies) to assess whether a properly functioning quality management system is in place.

NEN-EN 1090-2

NEN-EN 1090-2 prescribes requirements for the execution of structural steelwork, such as structures or fabricated parts made of: – hot-rolled products of structural steel up to and including steel grade S700; – cold-formed parts and plating up to and including steel grade S700 (unless they come within the scope of EN 1090-4); – hot-formed or cold-formed products of austenitic, austenitic-ferritic and ferritic stainless steels; – hot-formed or cold-formed structural tubular sections, including the standard series and specially made rolled products and tubes fabricated by welding.

NEN-EN 1090-2 distinguishes four performance classes: EXC1 to EXC4. Depending on the execution class, the level of finishing, quality assurance and inspection and testing is regulated. Roughly this classification can be maintained:

– EXC1: agricultural buildings, storage halls;
– EXC2: buildings;
– EXC3: fatigue and major consequences in case of failure;
– EXC4: nuclear reactors and other structures with extreme collapse consequences.

SSi Steel Solutions international is certified up to and including the highest level EXC 4.

Manufacturing Survey Arrangements (MSA) DNV

Certification traditionally starts with approval of the product, manufacturer or workshop, and is followed by a visit from a DNV surveyor to witness inspections and tests in accordance with our classification rules.
A Manufacturer Survey Arrangement can be established when the procedures and processes of a yard’s or a manufacturer’s quality system meet the quality, safety and environmental standard of our DNV rules.
For establishing a MSA, the results of our Manufacturer Product Quality Assessment (MPQA) are taken as guidance to determine the scope and content of the MSA.

We may re-mark products according to Manufacturing Survey Arrangements (MSA) DNV inspection report 3.1 or 3.2 according to EN 10204:2004.

LRQA Certificate Revalidation G0304

H. Ritmeester holding is authorized by LRQA Nederland B.V. to re-mark materials in accordance with G0304.
H. Ritmeester and sites operating under it are authorized to re-mark and also over-stamp metals on their own premises. The over-stamping authority offers our customers the advantage of increased material identifiability. This allows individual products to be traced and provides insight into the materials from which they originate. Overstamping also means that associated documentation and material certificates are demonstrably managed and provided systematically.

We are allowed to re-mark products according to regulation G0304 and according to Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU Annex 1, paragraph 3.1.5 inspection report 3.1 or 3.2 according to EN 10204:2004 (3.1.B and 3.1.C certificates according to EN 10204:1991).
